Jaye Samantha Beer: FX Artist
Jaye Beer started her education career in the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2007, studying Game Development and Entrepreneurship.
After collecting important skills about managing a business as well as the logical thought processes involved in programming, she decided to take a turn in a more artistically expressive area of study, and switch to Animation in Durham College.
For three years, Jaye studied in drawn and 3D animation, practicing skills in posing, line of action, background drawing, fluid movement, antic, exaggeration, and the art of bringing things to life.
Her passion for making the impossible possible through film led her to a year of study at the Vancouver Institute of Media Art, where she specialised in Visual Effects. With exposure to matte painting, compositing, and dynamic effects, she found dynamic effects to be the most exciting. With dynamic effects, one can make the fantastical into reality.
